SAG Classroom door closure for emergency exits in accordance with DIN EN 179

Schulte-Schlagbaum AG has developed a highly effective yet affordable solution to prevent the intrusion of unauthorised persons during school lessons. The SAG Classroom door lock is a design-optimised mortise lock which allows access from outside the classroom to be “controlled”, while still allowing those inside to leave the room at any time.

1. The SAG Classroom door lock is designed for classic school doors with door handles on both sides
2. To prevent unauthorised access during a lesson, the external lever handle is simply blocked by locking the door from the inside
3. The special emergency function, which is designed for continuous function, guarantees that people are able to leave the room at any time using the inside handle (ongoing opportunity to escape)

The SAG Classroom door lock can simply replace existing mortise locks (backset 55 - 80 mm). This solution can therefore be implemented as part of hazard prevention with a low short-term investment during the school year. The SAG Classroom door lock for doors without fire protection requirements comes with whisper-comfort noise insulation as standard (also for use in smoke protection doors). A version for fire doors with building inspection approval is available.
